SkillsUSA is a student organization that develops leadership skills to complement what students learn in career and technical education programs. A.W. Beattie students who join SkillsUSA have the opportunity to compete against thousands of students from across the country.

SkillsUSA Results:
Students competing in SkillsUSA have combined for 37 state championships in the last six years of competition and nine medals at nationals. Additionally, Mrs. Brown, formerly an instructor and SkillsUSA advisor and an assistant director/principal, was named the 2019 SkillsUSA Western Pennsylvania Advisor of the Year, and Billy Schaeffer was named 2019 SkillsUSA Western Pennsylvania Student of the Year in 2023.
