SkillsUSA is a student organization that develops leadership skills to complement what students learn in career and technical education programs. A.W. Beattie students who join SkillsUSA have the opportunity to compete against thousands of students from across the country. Three students earned national titles in 2017. More than 30 students have earned SkillsUSA Pennsylvania state championships in the last five school years. Most recently, 10 students combined to earn six state championships in 2021 and then 11 students combined to earn five state championships in 2022. All 21 students competed in nationals.
