National Technical Honor Society

The National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) is America's highest award for excellence in career & technical education. Like the National Honor Society (NHS), NTHS promotes academic and professional excellence. Thousands of schools and colleges have a chapter of the honor society, which recognizes outstanding student performance and character in career and technical education. Each chapter has unique standards for induction.

A.W. Beattie students must maintain a 3.0 GPA of higher on a 4.0 scale in their home school districts, have at least a 95 percent grade in their CTE program, miss no more than five days of school, have no more than three tardies, have no disciplinary actions and be a member of a service organization or participate in an extracurricular activity. Students will have the opportunity to participate in a community service project after induction and potentially earn scholarships.

A.W. Beattie Career Center inducted 81 students into the National Technical Honor Society in 2021.

The Career Center then inducted 68 students in 2022.
