Congratulations to Pine-Richland School District’s Caroline Curry for being named Senior of the Year in our Sports Medicine program!

Caroline will attend Slippery Rock University and enter its Exercise Science Pre-PT program to become a Physical Therapist!

“I want to enter the healthcare field and be able to watch my patients improve and continue to do what they love,” Caroline said.

Caroline was one of the first students enrolled in the career center's Sports Medicine program when it launched three years ago. She became a classroom leader and had the opportunity in her senior year to gain clinical experience at Precision Physical Therapy and Performance.

"I will miss all of the people at Beattie including the teachers and my classmates," Caroline said. "I will miss walking in everyday to smiling faces. It was always a great way to start my morning! Beattie was something that I always looked forward to."

She credits Sports Medicine instructor Mr. Vtipil with "always putting his students first."

"Everything that I have learned was always something that I would never forget, because he taught it in a way that we all enjoyed and would always remember," Caroline said. "I also loved learning from a Physical Therapist that has years of experience in many different settings. Whether I have ever needed help in school or anything with my future, Mr. Vtipil always made it possible to talk."

Caroline is a National Technical Honor Society member, SkillsUSA officer and Beattie Ambassador. She also played soccer for Pine-Richland.
