Mrs. Cari Ludwig is A.W. Beattie's Early Childhood Education instructor. We asked a few questions to learn more about her, and we will feature another staff member next week.
What was your first job?
Why did you become an Early Childhood Education teacher?
I have always loved kids, learning and figuring out how the human brain works! I love music, nature, and all things creative, so it sort of checked all of the boxes! No day is ever the same
What do you enjoy most about the Early Childhood Education field?
I love the feeling you get when you know you made a difference in a child’s life - whether it’s their learning, self-confidence or how they feel about school! When their little light bulb shines on, it’s worth all of the hard work and preparing.
What do you feel is the key to teaching?
Every person has something that they excel in. The art of teaching is figuring out what makes your students tick, connecting with them and giving them opportunities for success and challenges!
What can you be found doing when you’re not teaching?
Something in the woods and/or with my family! Hiking, running, walking my dog. If I’m not in the woods, something involving music
What is your favorite TV show or movie?
My husband and I count down the days until the next Stranger Things season! Also, anything funny. The world needs to laugh more!
What activities are at the top of your bucket list?
Going to Alaska with my family, traveling Europe with my family and getting better at guitar!
What can you reveal that people might not expect about you?
I was in a bluegrass band
