"AUTISM SPEAKS" 5K WALK/RUN

On a warm June Saturday morning, several students and staff members from A.W. Beattie Career Center gathered outside of Pittsburgh's Civic Arena. Student members of A.W. Beattie Career Center's chapter of SkillsUSA, along with several other volunteers, including advisory members Paula Gibson and John Debbis, participated in the 2010 "Autism Speaks" 5K Walk/Run to help raise money for continued research.

At the "Beattie Bunch" booth, children were able to decorate large wooden puzzle pieces, with the anticipation that a connecting piece will be available the following year.
