PROGRAM INFORMATION: With today's medical field rapidly growing and changing, there's never been a better time to pursue a career in the health industry. The core curriculum of A.W. Beattie Career Center's Health Science Technology program will prepare students for entry level positions such as Medical Assisting and Nurse Assisting. For those students that have an interest in becoming a Nurse, Radiology Technician or Physical Therapy Assistant, this program will prepare them for post-secondary education. During the course of study, the students will gain valuable hands-on clinical experience in hospitals, nursing homes, physical therapy clinics and private offices where they will practice and perfect their skills, preparing them for an exciting and rewarding career in health care.
