THE ACADEMIC PROGRAM

ABOUT THE ACADEMIC PROGRAM: The Academic Program at A.W. Beattie Career Center correlates with the Pennsylvania Department of Education Standards. All curricula have been developed based on the needs of the students. Assessments have been designed to include content from the anchor tasks of the PSSA examination.

Special emphasis is placed on the use of technology in monitoring the work of students as they complete individual tasks. The Academic Program focuses on the core areas of: Mathematics, Science, English and Social Studies. Health/Physical Education and selected electives are also provided.

    THE ACADEMIC PROGRAM: Students enrolled in A.W. Beattie Career Center's Academic Program have the opportunity to meet with the Career Counselor.
